John Chappelle,
Teacher at Brookstone School, USA
Answers to the questionnaire, October 20, 1998 In which situation did you use maths online? (School, home,... as pupil, teacher,...) School, teacher, looking for sites which will support my instruction. Can - according to your opinion - maths online contribute to a better understanding of mathematics? Yes. What did you like very much? Interactive applets can often give insight into interrelationships which cannot be gotten otherwise. It is possible to look at a lot of examples in a short period and support inductive reasoning. Did everything work well in technical respect? No, the sets applet put the choices off the screen. (There was a problem with the set applet which we have solved already - we hope it's working well now.) |
